So I'm thinking along the lines of Golf/Peugeot Rallye, celica Carla sainz, alfa cloverleaf, tickford Capri. Anyone got any favorites to add to the list? Photos appreciated (as I'm in the market for something a little bit less run of the mill!)

Yep... I suppose my op is a bit generic!

Ideally, I'd like under say 7k. Don't mind age or mileage but I'd like it to have been top of its range at the time (and consequently arguably the most desirable in its class)

I'm gonna say M5 or an AMG Merc, not sure what 7K gets you, if you want extra exclusivity, perhaps try and find an Alpina tuned BMW?

An alfa 147/156GTA might tick the unusual box, and to me are pretty desireable, but top of the range.. a 156 is roughly 3-series size and well.. yeah M3s are hard to beat.

The Civic Jordan was just a VTI brought to the UK and given vile yellow seats...

I was being a little facetious.

Anyway, you're wrong. It had a sticker too.

Saab 900 Viggen. Lots of power, criticised for a limited ability to deploy it when new. Could probably be improved with decent new tyres and some springs and shocks.
