These look like reasonable money for the performance and level of kit included. 15k gets you into a reasonably new one, does anyone have any experience?

EVO ran one on a long term test, should be write-ups on their website. They liked it a lot from what I can remember.

A modern day Audi S4 b5 smile

Does anybody know how tunable these are? 320hp standard, I doubt it would be hard to get them 400+. A real Q car.

I've just recently picked up a Vectra VXR estate. It's "not bad". I hope they cured the torque steer by the time they did the Insignia though.

Really like these myself, can't say i know much about them but look gorgeous in Arden blue, a pleasure driving past one every morning, probablly owned by a guy on here? 911 Turbo, Mountune Fiesta on drive to..

Do they come with recaro's from the Corsa/Astra VXR's? If so they are great seats hold you in nicely, also compfortable in normal road conditions from my expierence.

I've read most of the write ups on this car including Evo, it seems to get decent praise and is compared to the S4 quite a lot. There don't seem to be too many on the roads but have a subtle aggressiveness about them. They come with 4wd which would go some way to curing the torque steer of the Vectra.

They are terrible on juice though, think VXR8 levels of thirst. For that reason and the noise, I'd take the V8 instead.

To be fair, it was never going to be good on juice though was it? Probably 1.8 tonnes, 4WD, V6 and 2 turbos biggrin

Very true hehe and I think they're actually just shy of 2 tonnes if I remember rightly. Stupidly heavy cars.

Are you sure? Would've thought mid 20's would be achievable. Not too fussed about mpg though, just appears to be a decent performance car at a reasonable price.

I used to spend a lot of time on the VXR owners forum, mid 20's is achievable on the motorway and that's about it.

I think they look great in the saloon body and subtle colour. Like others have said though the VXR8 is supposed to be a better car.

Not really. Probably average for its class.

I dont think they are Q-Cars at all. They certainly stand out against the cooking model Insigia.

I thought it was a single twin scroll turbo rather than twin?

Yeah it's a twin scroll.
I no longer want one of these cars.

Theres something about "twin scroll" turbos that makes me feel sick. I can't believe I described it as a modern day S4 B5.
