Hi Guys,

Hope you can help maybe... please

I purchased a 2004 Clio 182 Cup off a friend with a broken engine..

Its the second engine the car had in it because the person never put oil in..

The innitial plan was to repair the engine as it still run just very noisey.. after removing the engine and finding alot of internal wear a new engine was decided on.

Anyways new engine (2nd hand) engine collected and serviced. changed all belts.. plugs.. leads filters etc and installed..

Car started brilliant.. but then developed a massive missfire and kept cutting out.. My OBD reader said was 02 sensor so changed that.. and seems to have solved most of my problems...

However i have now developed another problem.. after start up... (mostly when cold) after a few seconds the car will not rev.. infact when you do try and rev it trys to cut out.. this lasts about 10 seconds and then just springs back to life... revs fine and pulls hard through the range..

Since the build i have now covered about 200 miles to insure all is ok... i have again put the OBD reader on.. sometimes it says its the TPS sensor and sometimes it doesnt..

Before i go spending more money on sensors anyone else ever had this?

Appreciate any help here guys.. Thanks

Krikkit

Sounds like a dodgy TPS or MAP sensor to me - try the TPS first as the reader indicated that could be a problem.
