Have recently moved house, and always planned to chop my elise in for a new-shape S3.

The new area has kids footballs whizzing about (into other cars now and then) and nose to tail parking.

On reflection, getting an s3 would mean I would constantly worry about it getting scratched and dented.

Can anyone think of any car suggestions that would fit the S3 criteria but also the 'dont worry about the odd dent' factor?

I thought of a focus st170 for £2k or something like well specced BMW E36 for similar money.

This. It will drive pretty much like a newer one, but at 10 years old will more than likely come pre-bumbed and parking dinged, so you won't notice/ care about new bumps and dings so much.
