Where to look?

I'm after 2 issues from 2001 and after trawling eBay for about a year, I've had no luck.

I'm stumped, no idea where to look next.

The issues I'm after are May 2001 and June 2001 If anyone want to look for me?

Any ideas?

Could be worth emailing them direct, either they might have some or even ask them to put a request in the letter pages if they have them.

Dan, I would, but as far as I'm aware, the magazine is no longer published frown

Not really lol, it was latterly published by emap, who then sold it when they were bought out by Bauer, to CPH publishing, owned by an ex editor.

Problem is, Bauer wanted the name, so it had to be renamed American car world, which has since been sold again.

Think proper back issues are a no go smile

I have absolutely no knowledge of this magazine. Was it produced in different countries?

All I could find was these, but I don't know if it was UK specific versions or if they even exist?

If they're generic, I guess it's a case of how bad do you want it.

Be quick though.

Ah, Erm... There appears to be 2 mags with the same title :S

I wasn't aware of that.

These are UK magazines i want, unfortunately not the Australian ones in the links.

Thanks though

May issue has a black mk3 cortina and the headline 'looks like sh*t goes like stink'

I have no idea on the other though, but I suspect it may be an orange mk3 cortina, that's definitely in the mag I not on the cover

Was that the Cornish Mk3 Orange Cortina with a full width bar grill and the Black one I think had a V8 motor & narrowed rear axle etc. Pics of the Orange one taken on the beach?

If so, I did have that magazine but feel more likely to be late 80's early 90's - remember seeing the orange car go by when we were waiting for a nightclub bus in Camborne.

I used to love SM as a kid. Anyone remember project Bottle Rocket, the Fiat twin-cam & nitroused Skoda?

I remember so many cars. Nadean, a purple 8.2 litre Caddy engined kustom. A grey-primered Pro-Street Chevy Nova with no trim at all which looked as hard as nails...

I remember following their PB Cresta build, and reading a feature on using rover door handles like the VAG boys use Audi ones!

Great mag, shame it's gone really
