We had a '04 Turbo for a good few years - Fantastic car. Very respectable off road capabilities, blistering on road performance and a quiet cruiser even at 130mph+. We kept it until around 110k miles and even by this point it was still bullet proof.

Go for the Turbo if you can live with low teens mpg and occasionally single figures, you won't regret it wink

I've driven neither. But if you can afford it, why would you opt for the slower one? Would make no sense at all.

This. Plus a chum had a 4.5s and thanked God for his warranty every year.

Also, a Turbo is cooler. wink

I've driven the turbo only. It's fking awesome, so accept no substitutes. A car that size should not drive like that.

Evo buying guide was ill informed trash. Take no notice.

S will average around 16mpg, the turbo not much less, maybe 14mpg so go for the turbo imo.
