So, anyone else trashed their car in the floods today?

No? Just me? I know the breakdown serviced are busy, but it's been 3 hours so far and I really need a poo.

Hmm don't tell me, Renault megane, big puddle, Big splash and now the electrics have gone haywire?

Fusebox is full of water, dry it out and all will be well. Been to two of them today.

I was surprised by how much water was on the roads near Leicester today. It was a little too deep for comfort at one point... all the locals were out taking photos.

Saw a poor sod with a wheel hanging off a corsa tonight, i guess the puddle was hiding a missing manhole cover!

I almost did, then I decided against it, turned around and found another way around. Not that there were many other ways out if I didn't want to sit in a stupid amount of traffic for a long time thanks to the M50.

On reflection I think I may have been OK driving through the flood, and I'm sure people probably thought I was a bit weird for turning around, but my car is French as well and I didn't want to be stuck miles away from home in the pouring rain after daring myself to do it.
