Not being funny but not many are going to admit to doing silly speeds on a public road, even if it's in a Golf GTi .....

200 mph on an unrestricted stretch of autobahn. That was all the car had. It was a liberating experience.

170 in an F430 on a track. Not very ambitious on the roads because i can't be arsed to properly cane it on the motorways, i'd rather boot it on a nice backroad which normally means corners.

165mph on an Autobahn on the way to Stuttgart, prior to the trip I never thought it would interest me, but breezing past a police car at 140mph was a liberating experience and for anybody who has nudged 200mph fair play my knuckles were attempting to get out of my skin at 165mph!

300kmh in a Gumpert Apollo on the taxiway at RAF Leuchars, it was still accelerating hard but I ran out of space and had to back off.

160 Gps indicated on the entry to Teirgartan. Fairly modest really compared to many!

Why not ? Does anyone seriously believe you can be prosecuted for stating on a forum that you've done 150mph on a UK road ?

I've done 170 on a UK road. Now, prove it to be fact rather than bravado , find the road, date and time I did it on and cart me off to prison.

244 on the A3 down to Regensburg this April, had to slow for traffic and corners (even autobahn bends are corners at 152 mph)

Managed crack an indicated 160mph in an elderly Cavalier (dons flame suit) en route to the Ring a few years back... wasn't pleasant, felt a bit light so got very scared and slowed down to a more sensible speed for the remainer of the trip!

I'm informed my bike will do 170mph with ease, so the beer in me says 165mph easy.
The reality is that the airflow off the screen feels like a knife to my neck at 100mph and will probably decapitate me at 120mph.

70mph is where its at. Power is for wheelies and accelerating (not above 100mph).

ps I've just realised I posted mph when I meant kph. Damn the EU!!

+1, never seen how you'd get in trouble.
