New or used, 2 seats or 4 seats I don't care.

I'm not a big boxster fan and don't trust the engines. Right now, the front runner for me is a Z4M roadster. Can I do better?

2k more, for me may not be as agile as the Z4M but its a lot nicer looking and more room for passengers.

Question a bit vague? What is best? Caterham R300 and Elise SC should be around budget in used.

Yeah, I was too vague. Ok, has to be a manual (sick of autos) and has to be possible to drive it in all weathers, all year round even though it will be a 3rd car. I am 6-4" and do not fit in Lotuses, S2000s, etc.

That Jag does look nice but a little too GT for me - I like my handling.

I think you made the best suggestion z4m is a great alrounder but still being more "focused".

I guess a 350z might be worth a look?

I've been thinking a BMW 645 would be nice for everyday use, only in convertible though,

Bought one last week purely for long trips. Did a 700-mile round trip this week, and it was perfect. Plenty of bells and whistles, comfortable, and even managed around 30 mpg sitting at 70-80 all day. Don't suppose I'll ever have the roof down though, if this weather keeps up. It's one of the few cars that look better as a convertible as opposed to the hard-top. IMO.

True, just had a look, I thought I had seen more about in manual guise, none under £20K in manual from BMW approved used.
