help please...and if you could add the reasons for your choice that'd be good....(yes testdrives and stuff will be done...but you lot may have reasons I haven't considered)
I'm not fussed about C02 and tax stuff...

don't want to...I'll be happy with any of the above, I have a 'gut' reaction, just looking for the PH massive to prove I'm 'right' or show me where I'm 'wrong'.

For me I'd be basing it on which extra toys one particular car has over the other. They are all 'tools' to complete a job so I assume you won't be too concerned about which one is best suited to being thrown around a B-road.

It looks like the Insignia has Navigation so I'd probably go with that.

Toss up between Mondy and VeeDub. Mondy wins.

All options are pretty bland in my opinion, the passat is about as boring as cars get, the insignia is nice, but the vauxhaul badge does still repel me, then there is the mondeo, nice car, but in my opinion sorely in need of a new model, which it will get next year (i think?), so for 3 out of 4 years you'll be driving an outdated car.

Between these three, i'd just test drive them all and compare toy-lists, bonus points for leather, auto dimming mirrors, parking sensors etc..

But in all honesty, i'd see if these are really all the options, even though i think the F30 looks like the "special" member of the BMW lineup (saw one with its day-lights on, it looked extremely cross-eyed), i'd prefer one of those over the passat/insignia/mondeo, even if it means a lesser spec.

Another thought, perhaps a peugeot 508SW? not bad to look at, relatively cheap, and being french it will have soooo much more stuff standard then the german suspects.

EDIT: just to make it clear, i didnt vote, it is pretty much a couple of coin flips for me between these three, without testdriving them.

but why?
Why is the Mondeo winning?
toys? looks? performance? reliability? more Ford lovers than Vauxhall lovers looking at thsi thread?

Never have I been so underwhelmed by a list of three cars. I know you 'company car people' get all excited about the minutia, an extra letter in the badge, a little gadget here, but seriously, if my life ever became as dull as that I would pick option 4: end it all now.

Oh, ETA, no, I didn't vote.

The Mondeo wins for me simply because in my opinion it's the best to drive and the nicest to be in. The Insignia doesn't even factor in the decision having tried one and being utterly underwhelmed, and the VW loses out as a soul sucking dreary white good.

thanks for your contribution.....( I perhaps should have pointed out that I haven't aspired to these cars since I was 5 years old, I haven't realised a lifetime's dream and do infact also realise how dull the question is...I was just looking for some car enthusist's opinions about a choice I'm faced with)
Having said that...all opinions gratefully received, whether to ignore, appreciate and/or laugh at. thumbup

The mondeo will be replaced next year though, by this:

I did consider that but the depreciation doesn't matter as it's a company car and in every other respect the Mondeo still sits head and shoulders above the other two for me. And I don't even like Fords!

They are all built to pound motorways, so are refined enough and have equivalent specs across the range I guess.

I would choose whatever had the best company car tax - beyond that is there actually a right / wrong answer for this sort of car?

My gut feeling is the Mondeo will drive best (I doubt it could drive any worse than the Insignia I rented recently) and Passats just leave me cold.

As others have mentioned, I suspect opting out and self-funding is what I'd do but sticking with a dull company car and paying the tax is easier.

Toss up between the Passat & the Mondeo. Mondeo will probably be a more enjoyable drive and have more toys as standard (that's a pure guess) but the Passat will be better screwed together.

I've driven all three and the Mondeo felt the most complete and was easily the best handling, so it gets my vote.

That and I keep confusing the new Passat with a Jetta / Bora / booted Golf thing.

Having rented all three of them over the previous couple of years, ( not essentially hatch or estates) but the Mondeo felt very sprightly.
For such a good size car, I was surprised just how much feeling there was.

Disregarding all costs, depreciation, CO2, etc, etc, I would head off in the Mondeo.
They are all good, but for me, the Mondeo just feels better, feels more solid, feels more secure, feels more safer, it may not be, but that's just how I perceived it to be.
And the size of the hatch, is huge, seriously huge, this could be useful for hose removals !!

Drop them rear seats, OMG, there is a full size double bed area so to speak.

I'm surprised at the votes for the Mondeo, have you all forgotten just how unutterably dire Ford dealers are?
