V5 and trade ins

Quick question, i'm going to be trading in my Clio on Wednesday, but it is actually going to be my other half who drops it off.

I know I need to sign the yellow bit (section 9) on the V5, but do I also need to sign the main green bit (section 8)?
The instructions on the V5 aren't clear and I can't remember from the last time I traded in.

I need to do it right as obviously I won't be there at the time to sign anything I have missed.

Bottom left of the inside blue page (page 2 in effect) and top right of the yellow section on page 3.

DVLA don't care, you could put a thumbprint, or sign it as Mickey Mouse.
