E-car insurance - refunds, anybody got any experience?

Had a temporary policy with this company at the beginning of the year and canceled it at the renewal but was told they had already taken payment. This policy was not set up to be automatically renewed. I was told then that it would be refunded minus a £7.50 admin fee. However when the credit card statement came through this hadnt been refunded at all. Cue another phone call to be told it would be refunded within the next couple of days. Next statement comes through still no refund. Then another phone call only to be told the same thing. Still no refund the following month. I do not wish to keep calling them as they use an 0900 number which costs an absolute fortune to keep phoning. I have used there email form on the website to which I have had no reply.

Anybody else had any similar experiences? What did you do?

as you used a credit card, phone them, get the money back that way, and no fee.

^^^ I have done this before after an insurance company decided to empty my account in spite of me telling them I was not renewing.
