Although no engine management light is showing, goes out soon after starting engine, decided to plug in my OBDII Diagnostic Reader to check anyway.

It pulled up two MIL Codes :~

P0302 which is Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected.

P0313 which is Misfire Detected Low Fuel Level

Car is running as well as it did from day one when we picked it up from the showroom over nine years ago now. Fuel level is never allowed to run low.

Have come across both these before with other K-Series 2001 on cars. The low fuel level was 'rectified' by renewing the Fuel Filter. The Misfire on No. 2 could be a plug or coil pack. No misfire apparent when driving the car. Goes like a healthy 1.8 K-Series should.

Any thoughts will be of interest.

Clear the codes and see if they come back (they could have been stored for a long time, and the issue(s) causing them fixed a slightly-less-long long time ago).

If they do then return, investigate further.
