Help choosing a small car that has lots of storage compartments.

My niece has a 2010 jimney, she & now needs a small car thats good for storage with 2 young children (2 mths & 2 yrs) ie buggy/s all the bags etc & has a good size boot area.
It needs to be a 4 door for easy in & out access.
I have no idea at all so any good advice is gratefully received.

Isn't a small car going to be about the same size as the Jimny?

Fabia?

A Jimny has a non-existant boot, which isn't ideal with 2 littl'uns.

2010 Jimny is probably worth £7K? How about a Fiat Panda 4x4, no idea on the boot space but has five doors and is still 4WD.

If you wanted to stick with Suzuki then an SX4 would be in budget or a Ignis 4-door

Purely for a space point of view i'd say the honda civic. There's a boat load of room in those things.

Or...
fabia vrs
volvo c30
golf
rav4

300bhp/ton

Sounds like you need a family sized car rather than a small car. By nature and naming convention small cars are typically small wink

But fear not, as there's no shortage of variety or choice. EVER, yes every mass car maker pretty much builds and sells cars that do what you are asking. So you choice is huge, either new or used. smile

The problem is that a 4 door car with enough space in the boot for a double buggy and shopping is not a small car; Fiesta/Corsa sized hatchbacks won't do the job, so you need to look for something a little bigger really. How about a Fabia estate? Still fairly small but has a hefty boot.

Thanks for the replys guys, I should have added more info.
Ok 4x4 is now out.
A new car or not under a year old...budget £2000(max) + the 2010 Jimny .
The Suzuki dealership where she bought it from offered her £5800 trade in ?
Nothing sporty at all ...insurance costs.

Estate would be good but she will not go for that ,she thinks they make you appear older ??? So a roomy hatch.
I suggested Fiat's as they are full of gadgets & pockets etc, tbh we need a "young mothers" take on this future baby/shopping mobile.

She thinks Fiats are a no no...I told her I have a nice old Stilo I use for shopping & dogs etc , she said exactly!! Charming!

Keep it coming please lads & especially lasses !!

Again Suzuki Sx4 would be a safe bet

, or a small estate like a Fabia Estate or a Clio Sport Tourer , just noticed no estates :P but I think the Clio Sport Tourer is quite a stylish one, won't look old in that

Audi A2 - I have no idea if this is a remotely sensible suggestion, but I love A2s, and if I were in the market for a small car, I'd have one like a shot (the 3 cylinder diesel sounds fantastic!)

yes

Much as I'm loath to suggest anything French at the moment, the 207SW also has a big boot for the size of car.
