Gooday All,

I have been pondering this for a while now, and was hoping for some PH input.

For one reason or another, I am considering hiring something nice, for a 3/4 day weekend as a treat to myself and close friends, and would very much appreciate anyones expereinces who has done similar.

I am based in the London area, and a reccomendation of any companies, contacts or deals really would be appreciated.

My concern at present is approaching a company I have no expereince with, and potentially being in a nasty siutation if anything would happen to the car through the fault of the others, or perhaps my own, even though I would respecting the car as if it where my own.

Ideally, I would like something which could seat 4, and my ideas so far have been:
Cayenne GTS or Turbo
CL500 AMG or S500
Bentley or RR
and, perhaps being swayed to an F430 if the price was right!

Advice and thoughts would be appreciated,
Cheers
Matt

I think Avis and Hertz have started doing prestige car rentals - the deposits are eye-watering though.

I was looking at this for a special treat for someone, renting a Ferrari 599 for a birthday or valentines with a weekend away in Cornwall or London along with it. There are quite a few companies out there i found on gogole but definitely would love people's personal experiences as well.

I think you'll discover that a four seater F430 is a little difficult to find ;0)

Yes they are!

I'd always be concerned about them being pretty lax when renting the car out but scrutinising it upon it's return and trying to pin all sorts of damage on you and they wind up keeping the deposit.

Just to add that the high end cars tend to come with only 100 free miles then charge between £1.00 and £1.50 per mile which makes a decent journey/hoon eye wateringly expensive on top of a high daily rate.

Seems that they only like to rent to posers not drivers biggrin

The rental costs i've seen for exotics is absolutely insane. i just can't see it's worth paying thousands just to drive a nice car for a couple of days, and the paranoia of damaging something and losing your massive deposit would ruin the enjoyment.
