Bills can be horrific.

If there is a suspension or brake issue then it could easily be a £2k bill.

I'd buy one but NOT from an auction.

Because the only reason you'd stick that in an auction is because you don't want hassle from the buyer.

I'm planning to own a Bentley one day.

However, it will be purchased from the owner, drinking tea in his lovely house discussing the car. He will tell me all the money he's invested into it, the major work over the years, the news he's emigrating so simply has to sell his pride and joy.

It will not be a VCAR purchased from an auction.

You may wish to search ebay and http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/ for the Bentley on your link, as often auction cars are listed by the owners "just in case" and to avoid the auction fees.

SMVA is about 10 minutes from me, may have to pop down and have a look.
