Researching which first car to get, I have a budget of up to £3000. I like the 9N Polo but would be getting a 3 door which means no rear speakers and after looking at how hard they are to fit thats a definite no go.
I'm looking for something:
3 door ideally
1.4 for a bit of poke to it
speakers in front and back - head unit is easily replaceable on cars so not fussed about that

I'm completely open to ideas and there are a lot of forum users on this so I'm hoping you can help me out
cheers

I'm guessing for the car. But insurance quotes important too.

Sorry wasn't that clear, £3000 for the car itself. I understand that insurance will be a major factor but I'm literally just getting options right now

Either of the above will be far more fun than a Polo, and cheaper to buy. However, you may find you can insure something more interesting than a lowly hatchback if you go for something less mainstream. Small hatchbacks have a very high insurance loading for new drivers.
