In my last TVR report I mentioned how I had recently cracked a headlight lens, and how I must get around to fixing it. A few days later I got an email from a PHer called Quentin1 who is based in Germany, offering me a replacement lens as he had one spare.

He didn't want paying, despite my numerous offers, and said simply that he was happy to help another PHer and another TVR owner fix their problem.

Today I received this lot, posted from Germany. He had converted two TVR's to LHD headlight set up so the RHD units were spare. The reflectors on these are better than my own so I look forward to getting them on the car.

All parts are in excellent condition and the postage alone must have been rather expensive.

It's a great demonstration of the friendliness in our community, thanks Quentin1 you are a true gent thumbup

I've heard so many similar stories from PH members over the years too. Nice to know that, despite the huge increase in members PH has seen, we are still a tight community too.

This is what makes internet forums so good sometimes. I'm part of another car community / forum and folks do this kind of thing all the time.. I myself have done it, and also been on the receiving end of countless hours of help.

Of course for all the good deeds, there are plenty of w@nkers as well!! smile

Great stuff. I like the guy last year on the le Mans forum who offered his number and services to anyone who may break down to or from or while there. He had a recovery truck and expertise and was going anyway. It restores faith over the other twunts who fk it up

I gave away my 280i Wedge about 3 years ago to a fellow PH.
Rather he had it for spares or repair than scrap it.
