I had a new windscreen put in the focus a few days ago through the insurance company and only noticed yesterday that the fitter has left the masking tape used to secure the glass on the roof.

It's well and truly stuck down and I just wondered if anyone can recommend a good way of getting it off without taking paint with it.

The effin numpty should have cleared it all off after the screen install obviously but if there's an easy solution to getting it off clean then I'll not be making a fuss.

Cheers.

Normally I'd suggest a hairdryer but I'm not sure what that would do to the new glue on the windscreen!

WD40 should do the job, or a dedicated tar and glue remover such as Tardis.
