Weekend car or track car?

Weekend, cheap Chimera as already mentioned.

Track, cheap Westfield.

Both, hmm... probably a (very) cheap VX220 or maybe a S2000

Definitely both, but more of a weekend car. S2000 crossed my mind I must admit, RX7 too.

Beta classifieds links don't work for me, I just get a page with like a search result with three random cars. I can see it was a GTST from the link, not really that keen on the R33.

The only thing that would bother me about a £5k S2000 is rust. The rust protection is a bit shocking for a modern car. SWMBO had a 2001 model and I to tackle some light surface on the rear arches, and judging by some of the surface rust on the underside, I expect the S2000 to have rust issue just like the MX5 when they get a bit older.

Don't knock it till you've tried it.

If you had you'd know some cliches are worth exploring to their tired, spent and grubby ends. biggrin

I'd get a TVR and rag the st out of it. And then, when it blew up, I'd save up to fix it and rag the st out of it again cloud9
