1Litre Focus....
Discussion
To set the scene , the last one litre Ford I drove had somewhere in the region of 45 horsepower , and I handbrake turned it into a kerb .
Moving on by about 25 years and my neighbour who works for Ford, arrived home in a new Focus 1 litre , so , in the interests of nostalgia , I took it for a spin . although my own car(s) are old Mercedes , I drive new cars through work on a daily basis , and all leave me cold and disinterested . The focus is however a genuinely super little machine , belying it's tiny engine with real verve and enthusiasm. It sounds great too , with a growl under acceleration and real design integrity . Certainly my most surprising car of the year so far although inferior to my old fiesta popular in the handbrake department ...
