I managed to break my cheepo phone holder yesterday so I need to buy a new one.

There was a thread on here recently where lots of PHers recommended a good one to buy but I can't find it now and the search facility is pants!

So come on people, recommend me a decent phone holder that won't break the bank and will hold an HTC HD desire.

Thanks,

Not necessarily the cheapest but Brodit stuff is great. This is the UK stockist - http://www.dsldevelopments.com/

What sort of car do you have?

Actually, are there any decent holders for an iPhone 4 that don't use a suction device? I have an aux input so tend to rest my phone in the lighter socket cubby hole which is fine but when I want to skip tracks, I have have to lift the phone up vertically which I don't want to do on the move. I know you can get ones that clip to the air vents but I'm not sure if they will damage the car over time with the weight of the phone. I'm also not sure how sturdy a sticky pad one would be or what that would do to my dash.

Moon on a stick maybe?

Thanks RWM. that's the make that was quoted in the other thread. Looks pricey but worth it.

Brodit again. Not cheap but the brackets are very sturdy and don't damage the car. Bought my first several years ago, have had them in every car since.

...and Brodit here too. Dashmount is an alternative and very similar. I've had a variety of both.

Not sure if this helps you at all, but I bought it recently and it is brilliant! Very high quality and holds the phone very well.

(I see it has gone up in price, I paid £3.50 for it about a week ago)
