Mitsubishi Evo FQ360 vs Ariel Atom

My brother is looking for a weekend toy, being a biker I suggested a powerful bike but he says that bikes are for blokes that have got small cocks, to be fair I have a small cock but I'm a lot faster than he is!! Anyway my point is is that he he looking to buy an Evo but I have suggested he gets an Ariel Atom if he wants a toy. What are your thoughts? Or any other suggestions?

Is it purely going to be a car for nice days or does he want to use it more than once every 3 months?

I'd suggest an SC'd Exige to be honest, more usable than the Atom and 90% of the thrills.

it depends really. if i was gonna do track days once or twice a month then a super charged atom yes please.

on the other hand a evo 360 you can have as much fun in any weather on straight roads or country lanes (not saying you cant with the atom). if hes not hardcore then its slightly more practical and can be modded to silly numbers.

I like Atoms, but part of me says if you're going to need to wear a crash helmet and protective clothing to drive it, you might as well get a bike.

What sort of budget is he looking at? And is it all about speed speed speed?

His budget is 35k which is all cash. I think he is looking for an all rounder that's probably why he's not keen on an Atom.

I'd say buy a TVR Griff 500. Fast, makes a nice noise and is special enough to be enjoyable when not being driven at 10/10th

£35k gives quite a bit of scope tbh. Evo is nice, but I'd have thought you could do better for a weekend car unless they really want to live the rally lifestyle.
