What is car wrapping and what are the benefits against damage to paintwork or bodywork? I've only recently moved back to the UK and hadn't come across this before. Several cars I've seen on PH and Ebay have had it done.

You get a large sheet of vinyl, and stick it over the car, so you can change the colour.
Usually done to get cars into "extreme" fashion colours, chrome, mattes etc, and it can be later removed and leave the car looking as normal.

There is the possibility that it can be used to hide accident damage and repair, and underneath could be anything, so try and get a rough feel for it.

If you are buying a matt white Range Rover in Cheshire from a footballer, you'll probably be OK, but watch the ones from AAA Motor Breakers and Salvage.

Sometimes the vinyl will take some of the paint off with it if it has defects, or a quick respray.
