why is this still being allowed?!

It boils my p*ss when i see this. Im sure its been covered to death but why o why do ebay / pistonheads / autotrader still allow it?

Grrr Grrr Grrrr

If i want a 1.9TDI i will search for a 1.9TDI - i do not want to see GOLF 1.9TDI (Not, R32, GTi, R, VR6, 4 Motion) just so it comes up in EVERYONES listing.
[/rant]

thanks for listening.

Along with 100 miles (in reality 100,000) £1 asking price (£10,000)
On every PH ad there's a report button, feel free to use it!

<sorry Rusty & anyone that I've just created problems for>

As i stated in the OP i wasn't just singling out PH, just the use in general.

if you can filter the swears why cant multiple model names / the word NOT be removed?

why cant it respond when you put '12 miles' instead of 120,000 it say to you - are you sure your car has only done 12 miles, or did you mean 120,000 ? then a whole load of 'if you misrepresent anything in the advert the management reserves the right to remove the ad, keep your money, shoot your wife, sell your kids and put your house on the market and profits of the sale to be given to bolivian orphan kittens."

kind of thing?

Couldn't agree more. These people should be sent to the asbestos mines for a short, hard, miserable life.

Yes.

It isnt actually needed, if I want a specific car, I look for that, most people when spending several thousand pounds of their hard earned will actually check, adding that to the top just tells me the seller is a moron and to look elsewhere.

I have bought one car off Ebay and sold one this year, neither ad needed that to work.

Exactly, it just makes me think the seller is dodgy. As I said, they deserve violence.

Another annoying one was a car i found yesterday, some uninteresting hatchback which listed tech-specs in its description, going so far as to list "Turbo: no", making it show up on my search for something turbopowered frown

Yes, definitely screws up valid searches, hence even if a 1.9 tdi did catch my eye and distract me from that R32, I wouldnt look at it on principle as they are trying to railroad my search to their POS, just smacks of desperation and bravado.

I treat them as a bell end filter and just skip to the next advert.
It would put me off buying from them, just a pain when it clutters up your search!
