Hi Guys,

Looking for some advice here, i posted some car parts (quite valuable) for refurbishment, once this was complete, they were dispatched back. The delivery type was given a tracking nbumber and a 1 to 3 day delivery time frame. The item has not arrived and we are at 1 week. After calling the company they say that the item is in the system, but they cant confirm its location.... and that it is not tracked through each hub etc.

I find all this hard to believe and they are also alledging that the sender has insured them for a tenth of the realy value, so ive no comeback and my car is now well and truely off the road. I could also have a £500 bill to replace the parts.

Any advice on how I should handle this now?

Thanks

The way I see it is........

The post office or any courier company has an obligation to deliver you're letters or parcels & if THEY lose them, they should pay the full amount of what the contents was worth. The difficult part comes when you have to prove what was inside the box.

Yeah that was how I saw it, i have all the emails between myself and the supplyer proving the transaction etc but its amazing considering it has both addresses on so cant see that it could get lost!

I remember when one of my parcels went "missing" & I was exchanging emails & phone calls but as soon as I mentioned that I was seeking legal advice, the parcel turned up few days later! Perhaps it was a coincidence! rolleyes

Not surprised you lost a parcel, you've posted the bloody thread in the wrong section...
