What's this noise? (video)

My colleague just sent me this video, this noise is after driving the car when the engine is turned off.

Car is a 2006 A6 3.0 TDI auto Le Mans.

What is the thing you're poking?
And when is it making the noise? When cranking/idling?

Sounds very electrical to me, a solenoid or sensor going crazy.

Was thinking the same. Is it when the engine is hot, sounds like something could be calling the fan to run on after the engine is off, but the fan is not starting?

Looks like there is a valve or similar in the intake pipe after the intercooler, its like there is a stuck relay
