Birdlime damage gutted
Discussion
Odd - have had baked on bird poo on black cars before and it is come off OK by soaking with a wet sponge and claying. Paint cleaner/polish has sorted out any marks.
Ask the bodyshop what they advise? If it has hardened maybe use paint cleaner/polish as mentioned, then get a car cover!

Some droppings can be a nightmare depending on what the bird ate.
A cleanser/polish with light abrasives may work, but if it's etched the clearcoat you're probably going to need a more abrasive polish or even a wet sand followed by a polish. It shouldn't need repainting though.
I hope can be sorted without painting it again.A cleanser/polish with light abrasives may work, but if it's etched the clearcoat you're probably going to need a more abrasive polish or even a wet sand followed by a polish. It shouldn't need repainting though.

Had the bonnet on my Alfa repainted 2 weeks ago.... I certainly can't live With it.
After I had my car resprayed (without being oven backed) and the guy told me that the lacquer would take approx a month to fully harden. The chances are that you will need to T-Cut the mark out, but I'd advise waiting for a few more weeks until you are absolutely sure the paint has hardened. If you go at it too early you could make it worse. Ray Luxury-Yacht said:

My G/F and some of my mates royally take the piss out of me for having a box of these in my glovebox. However, because I do, I've not experienced the pain that you have! Buy some...

My daughter's metallic black Ibiza had a massive splodge across the bonnet that had really dulled the clearcoat. T-Cut didn't seem to touch it but AutoGlym paint renovator got most of it off - it feels much more aggressive than T-Cut though, snd I probably chickened out earlier than I needed to.
Did not know they did them.
Drives me mad as i work away offshore weeks at a time and have to remind my good lady to check my Proper mini for poo when she walks down the drive past it every morning.

I had one for my Porker. It's a lovely, proper bit of kit, if you love your cars as much as I do
