e36 328 seems to be another PH evergreen, along with the Land Rover Defender

XJ6 and XJ8 from mid 90's to 2002 seem to be a well regarded choice of luxobarge.

I think you're missing the point with this one, it's a (rather old!) joke, as opposed to being something that's revered.

However TVR, is or at least WAS the raison d'être of PistonHeads.

Well I reckon you've got to split this into 3 categories...

1. You've got those that come on here asking for something different, something special. But what they really want is a Golf GTI or an Audi A3.

2. You've then got the mass appeal cars; e36 328i, MX-5 most TVR's, Monaro's. Within this category there are two subsets. Cars that many will consider and those that are just popular enough to say about, but only a select few are actually interested in.

3. The last category is for the niche vehicles. Often these vehicle fit perfectly 100% with what someone says they want, but ultimately most want to talk the talk, rather than walk the walk. These probably include things like GTM's, Murtaya's, RX-7's, Corvettes, pretty much anything American or heavily modified.

Of course there are dedicated followers of these niche vehicles, but it's still the vast majority that wouldn't even considered them.

So take your pick, but personally I think anything either:

-interesting
-fast
-performance orientated (this doesn't need to be speed, just performance at something)
-or well modified (to probably meet one or more of the 3 points above)

Should most definitely be considered PH'centric. Although likely to have only a small number of actually owners/followers.

Because they are brilliant. The new Panda's the thinking mans Mito and the original Panda is one of the most fun car you can drive without breaking the speed limit. smile

Speak of the Devil! wink

I honestly don't get them. They are small, ugly hatchbacks with small engines.

MX5 = Fun
TVR = VERY Fun and exciting
Panda = basic small hatchback, usualy driven by old people (not fun)

You're right they are brilliant. Brilliant at being completely non PH hehe (although I do quite like the 4x4 one...)
