Check this guy out. I figured he must own it, as I would not smoke in somebody else's car, especially a pipe!

There is a woman local to us where we have a place in Scotland who drives an expedition equipped Shogun. Snorkel, roof rack, lights, big tyres. Its ready to go on the Paris-Dakar Rally. She must be 75 she looks quite frail and is abotu 5 feet 2 tall. Mind you she's a decent driver, you never catch her doing anything less than the posted speed limit.

man about half a mile down the road from me has a 458, he's 78 years and I believe a retired architect, dresses like he's going to play golf everyday of the week and looks a bit like David Hockney

I used to see a very old lady in an NSX regularly, before I moved jobs and commute in the opposite direction.

My mum (albeit a bit younger) uses to borrow both my 4x4s including my discovery which was jacked up, big tyres, snorkel, winch and winch bumper, side exit straight through exhaust plus other bits, she used to get some odd looks apparently.

I too have seen this, it was about 8 years ago I think in Eastbourne.

I want to say it was blue but I can't be sure.

My mum (50s) has run all of my cars as she'll drive anything that's blocking the drive, so of mine she's run:

- 93' xr2i with full RS turbo bodywork and mk4 zetec s rear that was dropped 60mm

- mg ZR with straight through system, coilovers, and many performance tweaks

- 200sx that had 18" wheels, coilovers, 6pot front brakes with 350mm discs, HKS exhaust & BOV, along with corbeau buckets, FMIC and other tweaks

Throw in a few snotters, an e36 tourer on 46 wheels and dropped on its arse... And a handful of classics.

Apparently the police have followed her a few times... A d the odd Chav has saluted her.

Best was the day she rang me to ask what the "wooshy" noise was when she let of the throttle in the 200sx..... Or when she used it to do a 70mile round trip in January, not knowing it was running 370bhp and had no TCS and that the abs was "limited" at best

Rally marshalling on the Isle of Man in 2002/3 (ish), we had a junction all setup but were waiting on our radio car.

In drives this wonderful blue Impreza in full STi livery, huge radio antenna coming from the roof. Out steps a 60 year old lady (at a guess).

Lovely lady she was too, but not what I expected.

This makes me happy.

This thread reminded me of a teacher I had at primary school. She was about 60 at the time, lived in an old mansion, by herself, with lots of cats. And drove a Triumph Spitfire, and I'm pretty certain did all the work on it herself. Swapped it for a 'classic' Mini Cooper before she gave up driving. Proper role model she was smile
