Off to Silverstone tomorrow. Small group of cars and were going on the motorway. I'd rather go cross country and enjoy the scenic route.

Any recommendations on a rough route??

You could go A46 to Stratford, then A422 to Banbury (a dab of oppo up Sunrise hill wink) on to the B4525 and joining the A43 just south of Silverstone.

I seem to remember when the SS took place that there is a great back road from Welllesbourne into Banbury which I went along with a group of PHers. Then across the M40 at Banbury heading for Silverstone and bear left shortly after the M40 and stay off the main road....it eventually meets the dual carriageway that passes Silverstone. It took about 40 minutes early on a Sunday morning. Safe driving, whichever route you choose driving

Thanks for that worked quite nicely. Nice drive out, better than motorway and a sun burnt face from the roof off. nice.

Whereabouts in Redditch are you bud? I moved away from there to the South East coast of Ireland about a year ago, lived there all my life.

Not a bad place Redditch despite going downhill the last few years. I miss flying around the cloverleaf in my old EK9 Type-R chasing the bikers....and losing. hehe
