Taken a couple of months but noticed that nowhere on the boot of my Puma is the word "Puma" used ... or indeed anything signifying engine size or trim. It's rather refreshing really!

What other cars went without badges as standard?

I swear the Puma had badges on the back. It was in funky writing.

As far as I know, every car should have come with name badges on the rear.

Elises don't tend to have anything beyond the Lotus badge.

No Vauxhall badge on VX220 as far as I know.

No TVR badges on the back but the model badge is usually there.

Nope, there is a Puma logo inside on the centre console though.

What about the one on the front grill in the middle of the "V"?

VX220 has a badge in the front V and also in the middle of the rear clam. Many owners have had them removed though (some replaced with Lotus badges!) smile

True. Perhaps I should have said "The word Vauxhall isn't mentioned" like the op said the word Puma isn't mentioned.

ETA: Plus, the OP mentinoed the lack of badge on the Boot, so I wasn't really thinking about the bonnet.

Takes a lot of confidence in your car to get away without labelling it up (other than a manufacturer badge) - modern Ferraris don't have model badges on the rear either.

Alfa Breras, Spiders, Mitos and Giuliettas don't say what engine size or fuel type they are.

On AUDIs, if there is no engine-size badge, you know it is a 2.0 TDi. hehe

Sleeper cars are what its all about, couldn't give a stuff for a M3 or a M5 with a Tri-colour badge. Plain Jane snot-rockets do the biz.

Puma badges are on the B-pillars, are they not?

Hmmm, on reflection yes, maybe. paperbaggetmecoat

Still, goes to show how conditioned we are to look on the boot for a badge!

My Z4 doesn't have any Z4 logos. Pretty sure pre-BMW Rollers didn't have any model logos either.

Packards usually came without badges apart from wheel centres.
