First Track Day 'Experience' Coming Up...
Discussion
Hey guys
I have my first track day sort of event soon, its not like one of those 'drive a ferrari/supercar' things. This seems to be proper track sort of driving and learning skills, Its with Palmer Motorsport if any have any experience with them, driving the M3, Caterham and Atom.
My question is are there any tips on getting the best times with little experience? I will have an instructor with me and its all video'd so i will be able to post back the footage hopefully!
All i know is driving my regular 1.0 hatch around and a few kart events (which always result in me drifting around corners as i assume i accelerate to early and aren't smooth enough) fastest cars ive driven are 200bhp hatches
So wanted some ideas of what to be doing! Im sure it'll all be covered on the day but cant hurt to get some tips to try and beat the competition!

Forget trying to have the best time, listen to the instructor and don't let your bravado get in the way. If you listen and learn then you'll end up with a fast time
right yea i assumed that just doing exactly what im told was key as they do this everyday, just wondered if anyone had any knowledge since i have a habit of being over cautious rather than bravado! Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
