Real life MPG database?

Can someone point me in the direction of a decent one? The PH one is useless, and the Honest John one only has newer cars in it.

The best one I have found for Europe is www.spritmonitor.de. There is an English language option but you will need to convert from l/100km. It has loads of options so you can zero in on exactly the spec. you are interested in.

www.fuelly.com is good but more US centric. It has fewer options though.
