Seen this on an emrican tuners forum. Turns out its from the UK and ironically on a Corsa forum.

The guy talks about it being an engineered car to handle well and was intended by Frd to be a drivers car.

He's fitted numerous downforce spoilers and diffusers and stickers, yet hasnt had it on track to test it from the very start.

The guys on the US forum cant believe hes doing all this work without testing it and are in stitches because its just a 'trophy race car' hahaha.

A good read none the less but cringe worthy.

What is he expecting to get out of it with all that crap screwed to it ?

Unless he has a V8 in the front confused

That diffuser is going to be pretty much useless with the beam axle directly in front of it, no airflow management under the front of the car and that stupid backbox blanking fully a third of it. Stickers look good though.

I assume someone has forwarded the thread to Red Bull. Adrian Newey won't want to see talent like this going to waste.

The guys in the states are saying the exact same, Its like he's not really tested it and thought it needs this and that to help this etc etc.

Its like he's seen race cars and thought 'im gonna make one of them and stick it on my Puma'.

Just read the bit where he said it will not be much slower round the 'ring' than an R26.

What a bellend.

The Puma ? Who cares ? As long as the guy is having fun and harming no-one.
I think its amusing people more because he's a 'know it all' who's doing things when he doesnt know the impact or requirement of such modifications.

Ok its not going to win any races, but as far as home made modifications go he is quite good.

Send him on a few engineering courses so as to focus his enthusiasm and the world is his oyster/lobster/onion.

No-ones disputing the quality of the work, Its the fact he doesnt know the difference he's making. Most people can make a bit of ally look neat and tidy, its more the point that its probably doing more harm than good for a track car.

EDIT John said 'JoPo is definitely someone from the UK who's on here.'

I've never owned a Corsa let alone been on a Corsa forum other than viewing the B&Q Puma thread. Dont flatter yourself sunshine. But I am originally from the UK, well done.

Least he's having a go, hopefully he will get it out on track and decide for himself.

Yeah, that diffuser is going to do sweet FA without a proper floor and venturi to feed it and the car being, much, much lower - diffusers don't make downforce, that's the floors job, the diffuser makes the floor work.
And the exhaust box stuck in the middle of it ain't exactly helping either, and the diffuser should have started much further forward under the floor.

He's having a go, which is more than most people do, but a little bit more thought/planning required.

I think it looks alright. I like the look of the rear diffuser too, and he's done a decent job of it which is nice.

Can't see it making the car faster though.

The worrying use of roofing bolts and the fact the "diffuser" has a bloody great back box in the middle of it kinda negates the point of the thing, surely?

What has it got to do with you, have you really got such little going on in your life that you have to start a thread trying to ridicule the guy, At least he has taken it to the ring and intends to do trackdays,a proper petrol head, good luck to him I say.

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was a public forum to do with all things car related.

If you had read that thread on corsaport owners you would see that its a load of things that will not improve the performance of the car on track. If i stuch st on my car and because I was 'having a go' would that be Ok and make me a petrol head? bh please.

If this offends you I do apologise, 'Steve'. wink

Ya know what, I kinda like it! Sure it does absolutely nothing but it looks better than most ready made body kits. It seems like he's not kidding anyone about performance and doesn't really care!

Certainly better than this.
