Opinions? Going from e46 to e36 m3 evo. Don't do many miles and want a car that is cheap enough to take on track whilst being well suited - rwd, decent engine etc.

How are they as road cars. Is it the same engine as the S50 z3m?

Anything to be wary of? They seem excellent value.

Cheers

Obvious potential vanos issues and you will need to look at the brakes, standard ones won't really cope with track work.

I think it has the S52 engine. The M Power section is your best port of call though for proper beardy advice. smile

S52 was the US M3. Euro M3 Evo is S50B32, same as the early Z3Ms

Dont think it was only 'early' ones - the vast majority had S50 engines - just a few very rare S54 Z3m as far as I know.

Any experiences of the m3 evos? Do they feel fast? Track use will only be occasional so dont want to ruin ride quality / strip it out etc. just a good well balanced, powerful car. Maybe upgrade brakes but dont want to spend £££.

Cheers,
