Just thought id pop by and say hello

I was a member here several years back but forgot my log-in details so have started again.

Thanks to Mr Garlick for changing my posting rights :-)

Ive been following PistonHeads for several years and have a keen interest in the world of cars.

I drive an old Mazda 323f V6 which isnt quite in the same league as some here but the pleasure I get from turning an old unloved car into something I can be proud of more than makes up for it in my mind. Oh, and the noise from a V6 is simply fantastic :-)

Hey dude!

Welcome back to the madhouse.

I've been here about 6 years, still love it, and even after all this time, I still login and chat most evenings. I never get bored, there's always something to engage with.

I've had help with technical car faults, domestic house and building issues, legal advice and loads of assistance with regard to a career change.

I've found tradesmen and people with shops and businesses that have sold me good gear at great prices, and supplied me with honest services and technical help.

I've had nice compliments, positive comments and 'back-up' to things I've been considering doing, a little gentle ribbing to the more conroversial posts, but generally good humour and welcome conversation.

I've been party to some fabulous hoons, tunnel runs, and general car meetings.

I've been asked to supply my car for some filming for TV programmes, got paid for that, and had great fun 'on set.'

I've saved a tonne of money on my insurance.

I've made some great friends.

I've met one or two of PH's 'movers and shakers' at car events, who to my delight have recognised my username and welcomed me personally with great warmth and friendship.

And most of all - most of all, I've appreciated and enjoyed chatting with intelligent, grown-up but fun and humour-filled adults, who all observe using good English, grammar and spelling, devoid of annoying text-speak and lazy typing.

It's great here, it is biggrin

I love it here, and will hopefully be around until the day I die.

Thank you for your welcomessmile

Ive never actually watched wheeler dealers believe it or not. I have friends who say it is really good.

Yes good English means a lot to me. Im a moderator on a Mazda forum and see loads of text talk all of the time. When I do see it I have to pass on that thread. Im sorry but there is no need for it. Its one of my pet hates
