Just a quick question - I've got two different makes of ditchfinder on the front of my car for the next few days until the new rubber is delivered, but the car also desperately needs its tracking done.

Having had bad experiences with places doing a st job of the tracking in previous cars that had two different tyres on, I was wondering if it makes a difference or if it's just a bad job being a bad job that caused the problem.

In short, if I go get the tracking done now, will it be right for when I get the new tyres on or are tyres and tracking interrelated?

Thanks

Cheap tyres often wear un-evenly regardless of suspension geometry, especially on FWD cars.
Putting new tyres on after the car has been tracked won't be a problem- the geometry figures specified by the car's manufacturer will be correct regardless of what rubber you fit.

All tracking systems I've seen and used use the wheel rims as the reference not the tyres so it should make no difference what rubber is on before/after.
