£4500

56 plate, 2 owners, both of whom I know, looked after it well

Would I be mad not to?

I'm shocked at how well these have held their value especially as 56 would make it pre-efficient dynamics.

Nothing else to add really...

If it had 96K miles would you be asking?

100k is nothing if its been serviced as specified.

You also know the previous owners of the car which most buyers don't.

£4500 is a great deal.

Why is it so cheap? no history? clocked? cat D?

Taking it as a low spec SE manual glasses guide adjusted trade price is above £4500.

If you decide not to buy it I will be interested in the details if still available.

Joking apart, it could easily have several chunky bills in the near future - turbo, dpf etc.

Pity we can't easily sell our cars in the rest of Europe though - colleague in Holland was raving about his 'new' Volvo S80 that's only done 160,000kms which he got for a bargain €11K. We looked in AutoTrader and same car here would be about £4K.

Company car within the company I work for that is now being sold

Only worry is that something like the turbo may need replacing but that is a risk you take when buying any car I suppose

I bought a company owned A4 Tdi with 110,000 on the clock.

Its since needed a new clutch.

At 285,000 miles.

Now on 295,600

And its never been back to Audi for a service, the local MOT place does it a oil and filter change at MOT time.

It is very cheap when you compare with the European market. http://tinyurl.com/ctmv9bv 100k miles is nothing.

Buy.

Have had some mega-miler BMWs over the years and been just fine. Have it serviced by BM specialist (or by someone who genuinely knows these cars), main-dealer will want your house.

Well if it matches that effort then I'll be chuffed.

Saving for a house so tempted to just run this one until it will run no more. Although if I can get 5-6 years out of it i'll be more than happy.

40 mile daily commute of purely motorway shouldn't be much of an issue for it, it has dealt with 100,000 miles of that without fuss

Exactly - what can you possibly lose? £4500 maximum, and thats not going to happen.

Reckon mine is pretty worthless now, but I've had it 6 years and it cost me £7000 to start with. Hopefully I'll get another 30,000 out of it, and then start again. Its comfy and practical, and it does the job (90 mile commute per day).

If I bought another £20k car to replace it would lose £6k in the first 6 months of ownership.
