I saw one on the back of a car transporter about 5 months ago, but despite the adverts I have yet to see one of these things on the road. Anyone?

Several of them, all in really dodgy colour schemes.

I have seen a total of two. I actually thought that it was not the seller I think Lancia/Chrysler thought it would be when I saw my second on a by-pass in Chesterfield - first one was in Nottingham a while ago. Not great considering it has been on sale for over a year. eek

422 in total according to howmanyleft.co.uk admitidly that only takes us up to the end of Q1 this year, but not exactly a glowing result for Chrysler.

I don't think they're trying too hard - I'm not sure they (Chrysler/Fiat) can justify having three cars (500, Panda, Ypsilon) in the same sector, and it would certainly cannibalise the plusher 500 market.

I've seen one in London, thought it was one of those awful new Lancias. Christ it's ugly.

I've seen one. According to the horrible two tone paint job and the massive badge on the back it was a "Black and Red" special edition. Apparently actually being red and black is not enough, the world must be told what colour it is by a badge too.

I just had to go and look this up on the web, up pops What Cars review. Gets a 2 star review but alarmingly they used the following in the summary;
"A classic case of style over substance"

& in the "For" section:
"The Chrysler Ypsilon is an attractively-styled alternative"

Are they blind?

Very true. I do like how Fiat are trying to rebrand Chrysler in the UK as "Affordable luxury" unfortunately they just don't have the models to do it and that tag in itself could be seen as stepping on Alfa Romeos USP (in my mind at least) so the bigger question I guess really is "Is there actually a place for Chrysler in the groups hiarchy in the UK market" Looking at the range of models I'd say no, not even the 300 (as it's now called) holds that much of appeal now.
