What is the consensus here?

I'll be changing cars soon, but am pondering if you get a better deal PX'ing or buying without a PX...

I'd have thought that in some respects the dealer could make a bit more money if they could re-sell the PX'd car (profit on the car they are selling, and potentially profit on your PX - model / condition and market withstanding).

What sort of discount (if any?) is reasonable for a non-px transaction?

Will be interesting (as always!) to hear your opinions smile

Generally you can get more money for your car by selling it privately rather than PX'ing it. What are you planning on doing with your current car if you don't PX it?

Either sell privately or see what one of the "buying car" outfits will offer - although I'm aware that they can stiff you with derisory offers! smile
