Spotted this rumbling its way into Swansea yesterday; I've no idea what it is. Sounded rather nice though.

Based on the number plate the MyCarCheck app tells me it's a 4.8L 1967 Rover 2000, whereas ECP reckons it's a 1961 Rover SD1 (which obviously doesn't make sense.)

Apologies for the relatively low-res photo - didn't have much time to take a photo. I think the headlights were of the pop-up variety.

Kit car of some description?

Definately not a standard rover. It's a kit-car, with a 2000 or SD1 engine in it. Thought they'd have gone for the p6 or 6R4 engine smile

Yep, Mclaren M6 replica, dont think they were connected to Ultima in any way, but I could be wrong. Nearly bought one of these years ago.

McLaren M6GT looks about right, but I can't find any photos of that car with the same rear end as the car above. Perhaps it's just an inaccurate replica, or maybe something else entirely.

I wonder how he gets away without any wing mirrors...

For that period of car was it ok to have one at least one mirror, whether its a rear view or driver's door/wing mirror? From that angle the car might have a mirror on the driver's side.

A company called UVA did this McLaren replica in, I think, the 1980s that they called the Montage, could be one of those..?

Stunning looking thing, one of my favourite looking cars of all time! cool
