One bike 2 insurances

Hi I'm after a little help please. I've recently passed my das to ride bikes and my brother in law has said that I can be insured on his sv650 until I can afford my own bike. But as he has 2 bikes on the same policy but I only want to be insured on the one his insurance won't cover me on the one bike. I would also have to be insured on his 1600 cruiser and this is too expensive. So is it possible for me to take out my own insurance on the sv650 or is this illegal? Hanks for the help

No laws against having two policies on one vehicle. Just do not claim twice in the event of a collision, as this would be fraud.
