Free Meguiars kit (RRP £19.99, currently £17.52 on Amazon - contains shampoo, liquid wax and an applicator pad)

Obviously, if you don't want to continue with the full price subscription after the 6 issues, then you have to cancel the DD - it's not hard.
They're always doing this kind of deal, and they always fulfill the freebie offer in my experience.
Just remember to cancel.

They don't fulfill it when people post up offers on car forums because I assume hundreds and hundreds of people sign up for it, maybe thousands.
So many people sign up and then they change the gift to something useless and not even worth the pound sign up.

Agreed! I signed up for this through a link emailed to me this morning. I wouldn't post it up on PH though!!!!

It's on HDUK and various other sites already.
If you're not interested then, well, don't bother. But it's worth a punt at £1 shirly?

Like I said - I've done this a number of times and always received the freebie - maybe I'm just lucky.

Done. When should I cancel so that I don't get charged £20 for the next 13 issues?

Subscribed using the link from hotukdeals. I think you just cancel the DD after they have taken the £1.

Just cancel straight after they've taken the £1.

Classic & Sports Car do this kind of offer quite often. Normally a nice big Autoglym valeting kit

Is cancelling the DD enough or do you have to write to them?

I've done this kind of offer many times and only ever cancelled the DD. No problems at all.

The one time I forgot to cancel (and a proper subscription started) I just phoned them & they refunded me instantly for all the unsent issues.

They sometimes phone you a few months later and ask if you want to do another similar offer.

I subscribe to this god awful publication at the moment - what do i get for my subscription? Nothing apart from a scraggy magazine delivered each week looking like its been through a mangle!!!

Waste of money - cannot be arsed to cancel it though (its something to read when sat on the bog or lounging in the bath), which, i guess, makes me a lazy bugger!!!!

Why don't you just get an Autocar subscription?

What d'you expect?
If you see something like that on HotUkDeals then it would have been purchased 100s of times. Autocar aren't going to give 300+ of them kits out for free hehe
It's happened before. Autoglym SRP was offered for free, somebody put the offer on FocusSTOC and Autocar cancelled the offer.

Bugger...!

"Thank you for your recent Auto Express subscription order. Unfortunately, there was only a limited number of stock available of the Meguiars Gold Class cleaning kit and due to the popularity of this offer, we no longer have any gifts available. "

But I can have a 26 piece toolkit instead, thanks but no thanks.

If you look at the hotdeals page you can have it for 3 issues of Evo for a pound and the Meguiars kit. Seemed a better offer to me.
