Not me I might add, but the old couple that live over the road have had a space saver fitted to the nsr of their 60 plate Audi A3 for 3 weeks now. They have been using the car every day in that time.

Should I mention it too them that the tyre is only designed to be used as a 'get me home/garage' or keep my nose out and let them get on with it.

I dont know them, but I do sell tyres for a living, so I think they may feel I'm trying to pressure them into a sale (which I'm not).

Thoughts? I was thinking if posting a note.

Do they know you sell tyres?

Even if they did, it certainly wouldn't attract any suspicion on their part if you just tell them that they are running a bit of a risk with that tyre?
Now if you would offer them a deal, that they might take as pressure.

I think you'd be better off speaking to them rather than leave a note. Just say you've noticed that they've left the space saver on the car for a while and do they need any help in re-fitting a proper wheel and tyre.

That way you come across as the helpful neighbour that you obviously are, whereas leaving a note could seem a bit stalkerish.

Just popped over their. It's a lease car and they took it to the garage who put the space saver on, then booked it in for a new tyre a month later!! Getting sorted on Friday.

Is the brand/type of tyre they require out of stock or something?
