I know you all love answering these!

Approaching from the left of the map, heading straight over the roundabout. Is it ok to use both approach lanes to go straight on? Bearing in mind the exit is not double laned, but is very wide, and on the approach the roundabout sign exit is slightly past the 12 o'clock position.

There is often a huge queue in the left lane on approach.

Right lane, all the way around the roundabout until you get back to your turning.

Imo, unless otherwise arrowed then the left lane is for turning left and going straight on, the right lane is for turning right.

+1

Using the right lane to go straight on would just see you cutting people up and would be a big dick move imo.

Left lane on approach would be the correct lane. If it was a two lane exit then you could use the right lane on approach and keep right on the roundabout and then exit in right hand lane. Of course you could use the right hand lane and then cut in on the cars doing it correctly like a lot of other motorists I'm sure do!

You're assuming the driver has used this junction before and knows his exit is single lane.

If you don't know if the exit is single or double you should default to left lane

This is exactly what caught me out, along with the roudnabout sign - I always thought that if an exit was past the 12 o clock position on the sign you should use the right hand lane. I was expecting a dual lane exit.

This. 'this what I was taught as a young lad, unless the highway code has changed?
