Nonetheless a real stormer, and something you'll never see twice in a day/month/year

A very striking car.
If you do buy it, this might go well with it:-

It's pretty cheap for an Evo model (must be one of the first) with the more powerful Ferrari-esque 337hp engine. These old auto boxes are meant to be lethargic yet 0-60 in 5.8 contests that!
Don't think rust was an issue, think they got it sorted by 1999!
Funnily enough, I'm temped by this car because I genuinely don't think anybody else will be, which would lead to some serious haggling! Wishful thinking, perhaps...

I'll admit I've always like this era of Maserati - especially the Quattroporte. Not sure how brave you'd need to be with one at 80k miles though.
Quite right, you'd tend to think with these miles the car is nearing the end of its useful life, which renders it bankrupt in reliability terms. Given that, it's value should now be in free fall. It's only its rarity factor that's keeping it from being sub £5k.ajb85 said:

I love that shape Quattroporte, much more than the new one.
If i had the money and could afford to run it, i totally would!

This was good value and the real McCoy, shame about the Cat D stigma...

And with regards to the looks of the old Quattroporte, I too quite like them. Colour of choice oddly enough would be something un-sporty, I saw one in a metallic merlot red colour and thought it looked stunning.
