2004 Vectra CDTI squeak under boost

Hi guys,

This started the other night when only using 1/4 to 1/2 throttle (aka taking it easy) there's a rather loud and annoying squeak that comes from the engine (turbo?) At around 2k rpm and fades off after that, only does it when taking it easy and not when its getting thrashed

Any one got any ideas what may be causing it? Oil level is fine and doesn't require a change but I'll do one anyway

Possible slipping belt? Is it constant or does it 'wobble'?

Any other symptoms? Is it smoking more under acceleration? Lower performance?

Definitely no lack of power and no visible smoke, just a constant noise but doesn't sound like a belt to be honest, just worried its the turbo bearings or anything like that, car is on 103k

At what engine speed does it start? At what engine speed is the turbo properly spooled?

I'd say its at full pressure about 2250 or around that and holds that till about 4k squeaks from about 1800 to 2000 when not being thrashed, when its thrashed it doesn't squeak at all

Does it do it if you rev it in neutral or only under load?

only under load as far as I know

Is it possible to check? That should narrow some things down

Have checked and yeah i can only seem to do it when its under load i.e driving the car
