Whilst affecting a seat repair to my GRP seat, I've managed to get a bolt stuck in one of the captive nut inthe seat base! The bolt turns but Its not coming out, almost as if the captive nut isnt quite so captive anymore
I can't figure out how to remove it, shy of ripping it out and potentially knackering the seat up beyond repair,
Ideas anyone?

Then I can't think of anything apart from drilling a new hole for a new nutsert close to the original, and hacking off the old one. Thy are a sod when they spin.
Good luck. Hopefully someone else will suggest someting better.
Edit: Actually, if you can pull the screw, that might tighten the sert. What's it set in? Metal?

Well I couldn't try the injection technique as I forgot there was a huge spreader washer on there in the way.
Dremelled the head of the bolt off, removed the washer.
Some strategic drilling of the seat base allowed me to reseat the nut with the 2 part epoxy.
Job as they say, jobbed.
good work, at least you got it sorted. Dremelled the head of the bolt off, removed the washer.
