I have the non-low profile version and it is more than adequate for DIY use.

I found my car too low for the Halfords jack I have - so I tend to start it off with the scissor jack ("widow maker") that comes in the car toolkit and then carry on with the other once once I've got it jacked up a bit. Not ideal but a solution without spending extra money on another jack!

I've had the Liftmaster one for a few years, worked fine for occasional use on my lowered MINI
